August News Letter - 2026

August 25, 2026Natalie Bradbury

A little update from our little shop

August has brought a few changes to our little shop as we slowly add more of our own style and personality to Organity. It’s a gradual process, but we’re really enjoying making the space feel more and more like us,  a place that reflects what Organity is all about: community, good food, thoughtful choices and supporting the people who grow and produce it.

This month has been a little slower for us, and the extreme heat has certainly played its part. The weather has been challenging for growing and supplying fresh produce, particularly soft fruits, salad items and a few other delicate bits. Some produce has arrived not quite at its best, while other items have had to be rejected altogether.

Because we choose to work without pesticides, our fresh produce can sometimes be more delicate and more vulnerable to the elements. That is one of the realities of choosing food grown in a more natural way. It may not always look as perfect or last quite as long, but behind every piece of fruit and every bunch of salad is a farmer or grower working with nature rather than against it.

Our community continues to grow

One of the loveliest things to happen this month has been welcoming new members into the Organity community.

And this is very much down to you.

Our existing members and supporters have been spreading the word, sharing Organity on Facebook and Instagram, talking to friends and neighbours and even handing out leaflets. Every recommendation, every conversation and every person you introduce makes a genuine difference to us.

You are all so dear to Organity, and honestly, we don't know what we would do without you.

We feel incredibly supported, grateful and truly blessed to have such an amazing community around us. Organity may be a little shop, but the people behind it and the people who support it make it something so much bigger.

Why shopping at Organity matters

We know that shopping at Organity isn't always as convenient as popping into the local supermarket. We understand that.

Supermarkets are designed around convenience , everything in one place, available whenever you need it, often with a huge amount of choice. But there is something they simply cannot offer in the same way: knowing you as an individual and caring about you and your family.

A supermarket doesn't know who you are, what matters to you, what your family needs or what you are trying to avoid putting into your children's bodies.

We do.

At Organity, we take the time to read the labels. We look carefully at what goes into the products we choose to stock, so that when you shop with us, you can have confidence in what you are taking home.

We want you to be able to stand in our shop and feel safe in the knowledge that the food and products you are choosing for your family have been carefully considered. We know that what we put into our bodies matters, and we don't believe you should have to spend hours trying to decipher tiny print and complicated ingredients lists just to work out whether something is a good choice.

That's part of what makes Organity different.

You are not just a customer here. You are a person we care about.

And by choosing to shop with us, you are doing something much bigger than simply buying your groceries.

You are helping to change something fundamental about the way we think about food, shopping and community.

You are helping to support small businesses, independent producers, farmers and local growers. You are helping to keep money within our communities and supporting people who are working hard to grow, make and supply food in a more thoughtful and sustainable way.

You are also helping us to stand on our own two feet.

Small businesses don't have the safety net or buying power of large supermarkets. Every customer matters. Every purchase matters. Every new member matters. And every person who tells someone else about us matters.

Perhaps most importantly, choosing somewhere like Organity reminds us that we don't always need everything to be perfectly convenient.

Convenience is wonderful, but when we become too accustomed to having everything instantly available, we can sometimes become disconnected from where our food comes from, who produced it and what it takes to get it onto our shelves.

Shopping locally and thoughtfully asks a little more of us. It might mean planning ahead. It might mean something isn't available every single week. It might mean accepting that a strawberry won't always look supermarket-perfect.

But in return, we get something incredibly valuable , connection and care.

Connection to our food.
Connection to our growers.
Connection to our community.
And connection to the people who are working hard to create something different.

A shop where you matter 💚

We want Organity to be a place where you feel cared for.

A place where you can ask questions, take your time, talk to us, learn something new and know that we genuinely want to help you make choices that are right for you and your family.

We may never be able to compete with a supermarket on convenience, size or sheer volume of products and we don't want to.

We want to compete on care.

On knowing our products.
On reading the labels.
On knowing our growers.
On knowing our members.
On knowing that the choices we make here have an impact.

Because when you shop at Organity, you are helping create a different kind of food system  one where people matter, where small producers matter, where farmers matter, where the quality of what we put into our bodies matters, and where community matters.

Thank you xxx
